Ash Wednesday

Obraz
Hi! Today, I wanna talk about Ash Wednesday.  Next week we are going to celebrate the Ash Wednesday, christian holy day. It’s a day of prayer and fasting. It falls on 46 days before Easter Sunday and it started the Lent.   This day priest place ash on the believers forehead and say the words: "Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return." The ashes are just burnt palm leaves. The fast means that christian cannot eat meat that day.   What this day stand for?  It’s a special time to prepered yourself for Easter.  Placing ashes on the forehead is the symbol of proselityze. Jesus said: Believe in me wih all your heart. We have to realize that our lives elapse quickly, so its worth to stop on the minute and think about our lifes. Am I follow Jesus? What is more important to me  this life or eternal life? Am I humble?   I encourage you to celebrate this day and answer above questions 😇

Fragment of the Gospel

Hello! I'd like to start analysing a bit  of Gospel. 😇 Let’s consider the Gospel of Mark  6, 30-34  33 But many who saw them leaving recognized them and ran on foot from all the towns and got there ahead of them.34 When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So he began teaching them many things.   Practice of mercy:  Today, in the Jesus words we hear mercy. Jesus sees other needs. When he sees hungry, he feels mercy and gives a hand.  He is a true shepherd because he has compassion for the people - teaching them, feeding them and bringing them back into a right relationship with God. We have to, like Jesus, be sensitive on others pains and needs. We also should give a hand to try to help. Thats exactly the practical social theology:  faith and mercy.
