Ash Wednesday

Obraz
Hi! Today, I wanna talk about Ash Wednesday.  Next week we are going to celebrate the Ash Wednesday, christian holy day. It’s a day of prayer and fasting. It falls on 46 days before Easter Sunday and it started the Lent.   This day priest place ash on the believers forehead and say the words: "Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return." The ashes are just burnt palm leaves. The fast means that christian cannot eat meat that day.   What this day stand for?  It’s a special time to prepered yourself for Easter.  Placing ashes on the forehead is the symbol of proselityze. Jesus said: Believe in me wih all your heart. We have to realize that our lives elapse quickly, so its worth to stop on the minute and think about our lifes. Am I follow Jesus? What is more important to me  this life or eternal life? Am I humble?   I encourage you to celebrate this day and answer above questions 😇

Fragment of the Gospel

Hello! I'd like to start analysing a bit  of Gospel. 😇 Let’s consider the Gospel of Mark  6, 30-34  33 But many who saw them leaving recognized them and ran on foot from all the towns and got there ahead of them.34 When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So he began teaching them many things.   Practice of mercy:  Today, in the Jesus words we hear mercy. Jesus sees other needs. When he sees hungry, he feels mercy and gives a hand.  He is a true shepherd because he has compassion for the people - teaching them, feeding them and bringing them back into a right relationship with God. We have to, like Jesus, be sensitive on others pains and needs. We also should give a hand to try to help. Thats exactly the practical social theology:  faith and mercy.

The Daniel Fast

Obraz
Hi! Have you ever heard about Daniel Fast?  Today, I want to write a little bit about that 😇 So, Daniel Fast is a vegetarian diet and based on the book of Daniel where he decides to not eat the food of King that has been sacrificed to idols. He wanted to be tested and he said to the guard whom the chief afficial ha appointed over him, "Please test your servants for 10 days: give us nothing but vegetables to eat and water to drink (...)" (Daniel 1:11-12). And then he's been doing this for 21 days.  For 21 days you can eat only vegetables and fruits 🙀 Sounds creepy, I know 😅 But believe me, it's worth it. It can help you experience a breakthrough in body, in your physical health, in mind and also in your spiritual health.  Three times a day try to spend time with God, from 5 minutes to one hour or even more. It will help you in your relationship with God and during this time He will bless you! After that time you will feel stronger physically, mentally and spiritaull

I used to use The Catholic Journaling Bible, but few weeks ago I bought on Internet NIV Quest Study Bible and finally I have it! As you know from my earlier posts in Journaling Bible you can draw, write, paint etc., but this Bible is for studying. There are 7,000 questions and answers, maps, cultural context, reading plans and much more.  It's quite expensive but worth it, especially if you want to go further into this relationship 😀 And if you want more you can visit Bible Project's webpage. They explain in few minutes what is written in each book. Or you can join me in their Bible course 😃 I want to show you this new Bible so I hope you'll enjoy it 😇

War Room

Obraz
Hi! 😀 Do you know what war room is? It's a place where you can fight your battles. If you have problem, go to your war room, if you struggle with something, go to your war room, if you're failling and need strenght, go to you war room. In the USA, the war room is a closet, they have enough space there to do it. Unfortunately, in Poland we don't have it, but we can make enough space in our rooms. It can be a corner, your desk or your bed. You can even sit on the floor, but the most important thing is you spend this time with God and want to fight. 😃 I'm planning to make this place next to my bed because usually I read the Bible when I'm sitting on my bed. Sometimes my back hurts a little bit, but still I think it's more cozy than reading the Bible at my desk 😄 I want to show you an example of a war room, it's from the movie called "War Room". On the internet you can find many other examples of a war room and some of them are gorgeous 😊 Btw, hav

The Gospel

Obraz
Hi. Do you know what does the gospel mean?  The gospel means Good News. Good News is the message of Jesus about the coming Kingdom of God, his death on the cross and resurrection to bring back our relationships with God, the promise of being saved for people who not only believe in Jesus Christ but for those who also follow Him, and through this, a healing of the brokeness.  The good news are described in first four books in the New Testament. There are four authors of the four Gospel:  - Matthew (or Levi), the tax collector who became one of Jesus' 12 disciples,  - Mark, actually  John Mark whose home was a place of meeting for early believers; a companion of Paul        and Barnabas, - Luke, a companion of the apostle Paul. Also wrote Acts,  - John, the apostle, one of Jesus' original 12 disciples.
